This weapon has always been Crypto's starting weapon, usually followed by the Anal Probe. It is also the weapon that he wields in cutscenes, though in the first one it is replaced by the Disintegrator Ray. The Zap-O-Matic was given a new look in Path of the Furon, which was considerably larger than the first one.
Appearance & Effects
The Zap-O-Matic, being a starting weapon, is weaker than most of the other guns. It's a silver gun with two metal forks and an electrical coil in between them.
It fires a continuous white or blue jolt of electricity that slowly zaps the enemy's life away. It's drawback is its limited battery which only allows for a brief firing period. Upgrading it usually increases its battery life, damage, and the number of targets it can hit at once. It is effective on humans but does little to armored vehicles like tanks. It is notable for being effective against Blisk Warriors without requiring a special upgrade, although you can get an upgrade to increase its effectiveness.
